My Everyday Content Creation Essentials as a Graphic Designer

Having the right tools makes all the difference as a graphic designer, business owner, and content creator. My day-to-day involves designing captivating visuals, managing client projects, and creating content that connects with audiences. Each tool I use helps streamline my workflow and elevate the quality of my work.

Today, I’m sharing the everyday content creation essentials I rely on and a link to my Instagram post, where you can find quick descriptions of these tools. Plus, all items are linked through my LTK, so you can shop them directly (and support my business through affiliate links—thank you!).

1. DJI Osmo Pocket 3

Compact, portable, and powerful—this little camera is my go-to for capturing smooth, professional-quality footage. Whether I’m filming behind-the-scenes clips for social media or creating branded video content for clients, the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 delivers crystal-clear results. I have the content creator package, which includes a microphone, wide-angle lens, mini tripod, battery extension, and carrying case. Originally, I did not buy the content creator bundle but returned it immediately. It's cheaper to get the bundle instead of buying everything individually.

A multitasker’s dream! My USB-C hub adapter connects all my devices—external drives, SD cards, and even my LED light panel—so I can stay organized and productive. I also use it to connect my laptop to my desktop monitor, which works seamlessly.

3. LED Light Panels

Lighting is everything in content creation. My LED light panels ensure I always have consistent, professional lighting for photos, videos, and virtual client meetings. It’s adjustable, portable, and perfect for any setup.

A sturdy tripod is a must for stabilizing my Osmo Pocket or setting up my iPhone for hands-free content creation. I keep a few sizes on hand to cover all my filming needs, from table-level shots to full-length views.

5. iPhone 13 Pro Max

My iPhone 13 Pro Max is more than just a phone—it’s a powerhouse for creating, editing, and managing my business. With its exceptional camera quality, I can shoot high-res photos and videos for personal and professional use. I do not see myself upgrading any time soon. My camera quality is still great, and I have plenty of storage after many years.

6. External Hard Drives + SD Cards

Backing up projects is non-negotiable, and my external hard drives and SD cards ensure I never lose important files. These are lifesavers for managing large design files, video footage, and client work. For SD cards, I recommend purchasing them with at least 258 GB, especially if you plan on storing large files such as HD videos. As for an external hard drive, invest in one that's at least 1TB. 1TB goes a long way, too.

Why I Love These Tools

These items aren’t just tools—they’re investments that keep my business running smoothly. They allow me to create high-quality content, manage projects efficiently, and maintain the trust of my clients. Each product has earned its place in my daily workflow, and I couldn’t imagine working without them.

I highly recommend checking these out to level up your tools. All the products are on my LTK page.
